Well done to Niall Bell and his Keep ‘er Lit team for hosting the inaugural XC Running Event at Brackaville Golf Course. Sun and heavy rain showers were the order of the day as ten local schools took on the challenging 1500m course.
St. John’s team was represented by pupils from P5,P6 & P7. The cross country rules state that the lowest team score wins and from the beginning St. John’s were recording single figure results in their respective races.
Well done!
After the team races each school was partnered with another local school for relay races, staged over 250m.
This turned out to be a really fantastic spectacle with plenty of support from the crowd.
At the presentation each school was rewarded for their efforts with medals and a trophy. In the overall standings it was the sky blue colours of St. John’s Moy who were awarded the cup and winners of the Keep ‘er Lit XC title 2025.
