The P5, P6 & P7 children were invited to participate in an art competition along with children from Moy Regional P.S. and St. Peter's P.S. It was organsied by Moy's local company, 'Shield Accident Management' and the aim was to design a superhero which would then be used as the company's logo.
Initially, Maurice from Shield delivered an informative assembly to the children which then inspired them to create some outstanding pieces of work over a few weeks. The children worked creatively and really enjoyed the theme of the competition!
Daniel in P6 was the overall winner from St. John's and he was invited to the Shield Office in Moy where the overall winner between the three schools was announced. It was an entertaining afternoon with thoughtful hospitality provided for the children, their families and staff from the schools.
Finally, Daniel from St. John's was announced as the overall winner. This is a remarkable achievement for a talented young man. Daniel received £100 and an art set for coming first. All participating schools received an IPAD.
