Very well done to Johnny, Oisin, Daniel, Nevan, Joey, Alfie and Darragh who represented St. John’s Moy at the Indoor Boys Football Finals Day in Magherafelt. A great achievement in itself. In the group stages, victories over Fermanagh and Derry left our section tied on points between three other counties. After some deliberation, the officials conducted a live draw to decide the play-offs, fortunately, St. John’s obtained a bye and avoided an extra qualifier.
In the semi-final, we were pitted against a strong and spirited Cavan team, who eventually ran out 9 - 6 winners and ultimately went on to win the final against Donegal.
Today marks the end of the indoor season and it has been quite a journey, from our heats in Loughview, to the Tyrone finals in Cookstown and eventually the Ulster finals in Magherafelt. The boys played some wonderful football, made history and created many memorable moments along the way. Well done! We are all very proud of you.
