Well done to Johnny, Oisin, Daniel, Nevan, Joey, Alfie and Darragh who represented St. John’s Moy at the Indoor Boys Football Finals Day in Magherafelt. Two victories over Fermanagh and Derry in the group stages left our section tied on points. The officials conducted a draw to decide the play-offs and luckily St. John’s got a bye and avoided an extra qualifier.
In the semi-final, we were pitted against a strong Cavan team, who eventually ran out 9 - 6 winners and ultimately went on to win the final against Donegal.
Today marks the end of the indoor season and it has been quite a journey, from our heats in Loughview, to the Tyrone finals in Cookstown and eventually the Ulster finals in Magherafelt. They played some wonderful football and created many memorable moments. Well done!
