Today, our school community gathered for a very special assembly to celebrate the retirement of two much-loved teachers, Mrs Donnelly and Mr Campbell.
Pupils and staff joined together to thank them for their years of dedication, commitment and service to St John's Primary School. The celebration included a special video of memories, poems and songs written in their honour and musical performances from our pupils. We also had the presentations of gifts from the pupils and parents. Mrs Donnelly and Mr Campbell were overwhelmed by the generosity of our parents and wish to thank them for the beautiful gifts. They will treasure them forever.
Mrs Donnelly and Mr Campbell have made an enormous contribution to school life and have inspired generations of children through their teaching, encouragement and care. While they will be greatly missed by pupils and colleagues alike, their legacy will remain a lasting part of St John's.
We wish both Mrs Donnelly and Mr Campbell every happiness, good health and success as they begin this exciting new chapter of retirement.
