A group of boys and girls represented St. John’s at the Academy Large Schools Gaelic Blitz in Dungannon today. The teams were drawn against: Roan PS, St John The Baptist Portadown, Primate Dixon and Holy Trinity PS.
The boys faced stiff opposition, although they played solid football, they unfortunately didn’t progress to the semi - finals on this occasion, hard luck.
The girls continued their good run of form and secured a place in the final against St. Mary’s Cabragh. In a fiercely competitive game both teams fought for every ball. At the full time whistle, Cabragh had just done enough to claim the victory.
On a more positive note, comhghairdeas to Clara who was awarded Player of the Tournament by the referees. This was a thoroughly deserved accolade as she delivered excellent performances throughout the day.
