GAA Rounders - The Cullen Cup
21st May 2026
Well done to the P6 girls who travelled to Edendork today to contest the Cullen Cup in GAA Rounders.
The girls have been preparing hard this term in preparation for this event, so it was a great chance to pit their skills against other local schools.
The girls were drawn against St. Patrick’s Mullinahoe, Edendork P.S. and St. Patrick’s Dungannon in a ‘Round Robin’ style event, with the top two teams playing in the final.
The girls had a solid start and secured a draw against Ardboe, unfortunately in game two, against a strong Dungannon team, the girls suffered a defeat. In the final game, the Moy team upped their game against Edendork and earned a valuable win, which ensured them a place in the final.
The final between Moy and Edendork turned out to be a great spectacle, with Dungannon eventually claiming victory, 12 - 8. The girls were gracious in defeat and really proud of their performance today.
